The Mo/HZSM-5 catalyst for non-oxidative aromatization of methane was prepd. by microwave heating. Surface species of Mo/HZSM5 had been investigated by means of X-ray diffraction technol. The results indicated that the Mo species highly dispersed on outer surface of catalyst carrier. The disperse degree of Mo species on catalyst prepd. by microwave heating is higher than that on catalyst prepd. by impregnation. The characteristic diffraction peaks of Mo2C were found on surface of catalyst after reaction. It proved Mo2C is the real active site. The carbon deposit on catalyst surface was analyzed by TEM spectrum. The slim carbon nanotubes were obsd. from the surface of catalyst after reaction. The size of these carbon nanotubes is 10-20nm. They grew up with the carbon accumulation.
