Hongmei Zhang received her PhD degree in Biomedical Science and Technology from Xi’an Jiaotong University, in 2004. She is currently a Professor in the Key Laboratory of Biomedical Information Engineering, Ministry of Education, the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University. Her research work is to develop novel methods to characterize the viscoelastic property of the soft tissue. Her multidisciplinary broad research interests include fractional derivative model based viscoelastic biomarkers for early disease; Machine learning of multi-mode medical imaging data on early diagnosis of major disease. She has more than 30 publications. She is the editorial board member of  《Measurement Science and Technology》. She is an IEEE member and a member of the Chinese Institute of Electronics.

►Nanoindentation of soft tissue based on Fractional derivative models.

►Fractional derivative model based viscoelastic imaging and deep learning of imaging parameters.
