Prof. Dezhong Zhou

Professor of Polymer Chemistry

Dezhong was born in Yongzhou in 1984. He received his B.S. in Applied Chemistry in 2007 from Hunan University, and his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry and Physics with Prof. Tianying Guo from Nankai University in 2012. After ten month working in Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry, SINOPEC as a Chemical Engineer, he joined Prof. Wenxin Wang's research group in Netweork of Excellence for Functional Biomaterials, National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG) as a Postdoctoral Researcher, and then relocated with the group to Charles Institute of Dermatology, University College Dublin (UCD) in 2014. From 2015 to 2018, he worked as a Research Fellow with the same Institute. After which, Dezhong joined the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology (SCET) at Xi'an Jiaotong University as a full professor.
