Dezhong received his B.S. in Applied Chemistry from Hunan University, and his Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry and Physics from Nankai University. In 2018, Dezhong then moved to the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University.
