Intercultural Communication

  • September, 2002 to September, 2003: Furthered my study of applied linguistics in Moscow National University of language studies as a visiting scholar sponsored by the China-Russia cooperative exchange program of China Scholarship Council.
  • June 30th to July 5th, 2003: Attended the tenth session of World teachers meeting for the Russian and Literature Association, a new century unprecedented grand seminar of Russian language, which is entitled “Russian in the World culture”. Presented my dissertation《Состояние о преподавании русского языка в Китае》. On behalf of President Putin, Mrs. Putin attended this meeting and read the congratulation letter. I had the honor to shake hands with her and got her autograph.
  • April 23rd, 2003: guided by my supervisor Maria Vasilievna, an academician of Russia Academy of Science, PhD holder of arts of Language & literature department affiliated to Russian Academy of Social Science, and a pluralistic professor of Moscow National Universities of Language Studies, I delivered a lecture on “Evolution and development research of contemporary language & culture in Russian”.
  • February to July, 2003: Gave a series of lectures, such as Chinese studies, Chinese-Russian & Russian- Chinese translation at the gracious invitation of professor Andrey Seledsniov, a renowned Sinologist of Oriental language department, Moscow National University of Language Studies.
  • May, 2003: Tutored fifth-year student Maksim of Chinese Public Speaking department to win the second prize of the 11th session of Moscow interscholastic Chinese speaking competition
  • June 20th, 2003: Attended the third session of international seminar for Chinese teachers sponsored by the Department of Oriental & African studies of Moscow National Universtiy.
  • October 19th, 2005: Worked as an interpreter for vice president Igel Maksimcav, a doctor candidate of economics, who was in charge of intercultural communication of St. Petersburg National University of Economy & Finance.
  • November, 2005: At the gracious invitation of International Science & Culture Cooperation Center subordinated to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and government of Vietnam Socialistic Republic and Hanoi International Studies University, I attended the second session of the International Seminar of Russian Day for the Russian Scholars of Asian & Pacific Regions and International Seminar of Russian Teaching and Application Issues in Asian Countries sponsored by the foreign language department of Hanoi National University. During the seminar, I made a presentation on my dissertation 《О новом типовом тесте по русскому языку в нефилологических вузах Китая》,
  • June 8th, 2006: Attended the first session of Silk Road Investment Forum sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme at xi’an Tang dynasty Paradise Park and interpreted for the vice governor of Shannxi Province.
  • October, 2006: Accompanied the director of Communist party of Xi’an Jiaotong University Mr. Wang Jianhua to attend the China-Russian Key University Presidents’ Forum s at Peking University.
  • October, 2006: Accompanied vice president Xu Zongben of Xi’an Jiaotong University to attend the Symposium of China-Russia Higher Education sponsored by Shannxi education bureau.
  • April 22nd, 2007: interpreted for the first session of Xi’an- Hongkong International Forum on the Daodejing jointly sponsored by the China Religious Culture Communication Association and China Taoism association.

 

Academic Activities

  • 2003-2005: Delivered a series of lectures for the Russian department including “Information Acquiring: Studying Abroad in Russia”, “The Cultural Significance of Russian Forests”, “The Unique Significance of Silver Time in the History of Russian literature”, “Pushkin and His poems in the Field of Culture” and so on.
  • May 22, 2004: As the vice director of College Russian Teaching and Research Association of Shaanxi province,  organized and held a 2004 annual conference with the theme of “Widening the Reformation of College Russian Teaching based on the New Syllabus”.
  • June, 2004: Participated in and finished a series of tasks during the application for English-Russian Bilingual Direction affiliated the English department of the school of international studies, Xi’an Jiaotong University. The jobs include application report, training plan, curriculum design, brief introduction of the curriculums and so forth.
  • July, 2004: On behalf of the College Russian Teaching and Research Association of Shaanxi province, I attended the conference “2004 Symposium of National College Russian Education & Public Explanation of New Examination Outline” held in Tongji University by Russian group of College Foreign Language Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and the Russian sub-committee of National College Foreign Language Research Association.
  • July, 2004: Took and passed the foreign language examination and psychological test for China’s overseas official candidates of the Ministry of Education in Beijing Language and Culture University.
  • June, 2005: participated in and accomplished the application for admitting Russian postgraduate into the Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics department. A series of tasks were involved: application report, training plan, curriculum design and introduction, and so on.
  • May, 2005: Attended the Symposium on the History and Status Quo of cross-strait Russian Education sponsored by China Russian Teaching and Research Association and Xiamen University, and presented my thesis.
  • July, 2005: On behalf of Shaanxi College Russian Teaching and Research Association, I attended the New Century College Russian Education Reform and Development Seminar in Inner Mongolia Normal University. The seminar was held by the Russian group of College Foreign Language Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and the Russian sub-committee of National College Foreign Language Research Association.
  • May, 2006: Judge of the First Translation Competition in Shaanxi province during the National Translation Image Representative Competition.
  • May 20th, 2006: Organized and held the 2006 annual conference of “Russian Teaching and Russian Culture”, and was elected Director of Shaanxi College Russian Teaching and Research Association.
  • June, 2006: Translated 20,000 words of the introduction of Xi’an Jiaotong University and study-abroad instructions for the School of International Education, Xi’an Jiaotong University.
  • July, 2006: Represented Shaanxi College Russian Education Research Association to attend the 12th National College Russian Education Symposium in Dalian University of Technology. The seminar was held by the Russian group of College Foreign Language Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and the Russian sub-committee of National College Foreign Language Research Association.
  • August,2006: Translated the PPT for Lu Tianjian, vice president of Xi’an Jiaotong University, in Harbin Sino Russia College President Forum.
  • September, 2006: Organized and arranged the Founding Conference of Russian Committee of Shaanxi Translator’s Association in Xi’an Jiaotong University, and was appointed vice director of the committee.
  • May, 2007: Attended the international symposium of “Translation in Russia” in Wuhan University held collaboratively by China Russian Teaching and Research Association and Wuhan University. A presentation was made on my thesis.
  • April, 2008: Attended the international symposium of “The Study of Russia in China” held in Sichuan Foreign Languages University with the collaboration of China Russian Teaching and Research Association.
  • June 14th, 2008: As the director of Shaanxi College Russian Teaching and Research Association, organized and held the 2006 annual conference with the theme of “Modern Russian Education and Russian Teaching reformation” in Shaanxi Normal University.
  • October, 2008: Attended the large-scale international academic seminar of “300 years of Russian Education in China” held in Shanghai International Studies University, which was sponsored by the Russian department of Shanghai International Studies University, China Russian Teaching and Research Association and International Russian Teachers Union.
