Research Interests:

Nanobody/complement receptor/cancer immunology/in vivo imaging: Dr. Zheng have been working with Nanobody in Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Vlaams Instituut voor Biotechnologic (Belgium) during PhD since the great potential of the smallest antibody in preclinical and clinical research. Dr. Zheng previous research was focused on the in vivo monitoring of arthritic and hepatitis mouse models using complement receptor targeting nanobody as SPECT/CT prober. Her present research topics include cancer associated macrophage in vivo imaging, generating nanobody targeting immune check point molecular used for immunotherapy. In addition to cancer immunology, She have also worked on collaborative project in structure and function studies of Nanobody recognition molecular mechanism. Recently, Dr. Zheng have added a new aspect to work on bio-specific nanobody for the complement pathway inhibition and complement oposonization regulation in bacterial infection.

Dr. Zheng has published widely including publications in top journals such as Nucleic Acids Research, Nature communications, Scientific Reports and Journal of Nuclear Medicine, etc.
