Brief Biography

Professor WANG Fei is a faculty member of the School of Mathematics & Statistics at Xi’an Jiaotong University. He obtained his PhD in Mathematics from Zhejiang University in 2010 and began his academic career at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He then spent four and half years as a visiting scholar and research associate at the University of Iowa and Penn State University in the United States, where he gained valuable experience in his field. He joined Xi’an Jiaotong University as an associate professor in 2016, after being awarded the “Young Talent Support Plan (Associate Professor)” by the university in 2015. He also received the “Hundred Young Talent Program” award from Shaanxi Province in 2017. In 2022, he was promoted to the “Young Talent Support Plan (Professor)” by Xi’an Jiaotong University. Professor Wang’s research interests include numerical analysis and scientific computing, with a focus on finite element methods, variational inequalities, and neural network-based methods for solving partial differential equations. He has led three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and published 50 papers in prestigious journals such as SIAM J. Numer. Anal., IMA J. Numer. Anal., Numer. Math., Comput. Methods Appl. Mech. Engrg.
