Announcing a Special Section in IEEE Access

Security in Wireless Communications and Networking

Submission Deadline: August 1, 2016

IEEE Access invites manuscript submissions in the area of Security in Wireless Communications and Networking.

Wireless communications and networking have experienced explosive growth during the last years so that security issues are being a crucial aspect. Thus, the purpose of this special issue is to publish innovative and theoretically-grounded research tackling the fundamental and practical challenges of wireless communications and networking security. This special issue will bring together leading researchers and developers from both industry and academia to discuss and present their views on the current trends, challenges, and state-of-the-art solutions addressing various issues related to security in wireless communications and networking.

Authors are encouraged to submit papers presenting new research related to theory or practice of all aspects of security issues in wireless communications and networking. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

·        Authentication

·        Key management

·        Attack modeling and prevention

·        Intrusion detection and prevention

·        Vulnerability assessment

·        Secret-key generation over wireless channels

·        Secure PHY, MAC and routing protocols

·        New methodologies and architectures for security

·        Cryptographic algorithms and applications

·        Physical layer security

·        Security in cognitive radio networks

·        Security in Wireless MANETs, VANETs, Sensor, Mesh and PCS Networks

·        Secure cooperation-based systems and services

·        Secure cross-layer protocols

·        Advanced signal processing for security

·        Information-theoretic limits of security

·        Massive MIMO- or milimeter-wave-based designs for security

·        Optimization and game-theoretic techniques for security

·        Security for distributed networks

·        Web application security

·        Virus and spam detection

·        Digital right protection

·        Security in e-commence

We also highly recommend the submission of multimedia with each article as it significantly increases the visibility, downloads, and citations of articles.
