Biography
Changchun Liu, originally from Linyi, Shandong Province, received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Li Zheng. In September 2018, he joined the Institute of Operations Research and Analytics (IORA) at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he collaborated with Prof. Lee Loo Hay on research related to port operations management. In April 2020, he joined the Singapore Airlines-NUS Digital Aviation Lab, working with Prof. Teo Chung Piaw on airline revenue management research.

 

In 2024, he joined Xi'an Jiaotong University and was selected for the Shaanxi Provincial High-level Talent Youth Project. To date, he has published over 20 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author in areas such as revenue management, port resource scheduling, and production scheduling optimization. His representative papers have been published or accepted in journals such as POMS, EJOR, and IISE.

 

He also serves as a reviewer for journals like MS, TS, TRB, and EJOR. He has completed multiple research papers related to airline revenue management and developed relevant products. His Sense-Infer-Adapt system is currently in trial at Singapore Airlines. His paper "Fare Ladder Optimization: Airline Revenue Management in Volatile Environment" won third place in the 2023 Management Science Practice Award by the Chinese Scholars Association for Management Science and Engineering.
