Research

Research in the Lu group mainly deals with theoretical and experimental study on poly(azolyl)borate related structures.  The research objectives include,

    1. Design and synthesis new functionallized ionic liquids, and their properties as SO2 sorbents;

    2. Theoretical study on the correlation between electronic structures and related properties of boron

        containing compounds (especially boryl radicals);

    3. Synthesis, structure, and properties of metal complexes with nitrogen-heterocycles as ligands.
