Research Projects

In recent years a lot of national projects in the frontiers of thermodynamics and heat transfer were taken. As the principle investigators following research projects are now underway: National Fundamental R & D Projects of China (973), Key Project of the national natural Science Foundation of China, Key project of the Ministry of Education, Preliminary Research Program of National Defense, 863 Project of the Ministry of Science & Technology, and several international joint research programs. More than 40 research projects have been awarded.

Major projects in recent years include: 

  • Investigations on fundamental and common problems in highly efficient and comprehensive utilization of industrial waste heat –Chief Scientist for the National Basic Research Program (973 Project) of China;
  • Dynamic Characteristics of Thermal Engineering System- National Natural Science Foundation for Excellent Youth;
  • Basic thermophysical problems in Frequency-based application of solar energy –the Key Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China;
  • Energy saving and advanced manufacturing techniques in industries of high anergyconsumption, the Key Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China;
  • Energy saving theory and techniques in industries of high energy consumption, National Key Project of Fundamental Research (973) ;
  • Basic researches for the working mechanisms and performance optimizations under the multi-physics, multi-scale , multi-fields, non-uniform and/or unsteady conditions. the National Natural Science Foundation of China.



  Publications and Patents

  • More than 500 technical papers have been published, including more than 210 international journal papers, more than 100 international conference papers. The published papers have been cited by SCI more than 200 times and by EI more than 400 times.
  • 17 patents have been authorized. Supervised 100 graduate students for Master and Doctorate degree.

  Invited Keynote Talk

     In recent years, 40 keynote and invited lectures have been presented at international conferences and academic exchanges.
