Micro-nano Scale Heat Transport: Theory and Applications

  

Seminar-2: Micro-nano Scale Heat Transport: Theory and Applications
This seminar will be focused on introduction of fundamentals of micro-nano scale heat transfer. Seminar will first discuss the crystal structure of different materials, phonon dispersion relation of crystals, and its relation with different material properties. The methods to calculate specific heat and thermal conductivity will be discussed. The non-Fourier heat conduction equations for analyzing thermal transport in nano-materials, and their applicability and correlation with atomistic methods will be discussed. Finally, some applications of micro-nano scale heat transport will the introduced.
