Brief Bio

Dr. Zhendong SHA received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2011. He served on Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC) as research scientist between 2010 and 2013. He then joined Xi'an Jiaotong University as an Associate Professor in 2013 and became full Professor in 2018. He has published more than 70 SCI research papers in refereed journals, including Mater. Today, Nano Lett., Nano Energy., Acta Mater., J. Mech. Phys. Solids, Int. J. Plasticity and so on. The SCI citation without self-citation is 2033, and H-index is 27.

Research Interests

 Dr. SHA' interests focus on using large-scale molecular dynamics simulations and first-principles calculations as tools to investigate the atomic-scale structure and mechanical properties of the functional materials such as the graphene, metallic glass, amorphous carbon and so on.
