Dr. Luxia Cui joined Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, as a Professor in May 2026, where she supervises doctoral and master's students. She received her Doctor of Engineering degree from Kyushu University in September 2020 as a recipient of the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship. From 2020 to 2026, she worked at Kyushu University as a Postdoctoral Researcher, Research Assistant Professor, and Assistant Professor. Her research focuses on the design and synthesis of Advanced Photofunctional and Stimuli-Responsive Materials for diverse applications. Prof. Cui has published multiple first-author papers in leading international journals, including Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Advanced Optical Materials, Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology C: Photochemistry Reviews, Journal of Materials Chemistry C, Journal of Physical Chemistry C, Dalton Transactions, and RSC Advances. She served as the research leader of the JST COI-NEXT subproject “Support for Next-Generation Talent Development” in 2025 and has been granted three Chinese invention patents as the second inventor. Her honors include the National Scholarship for Master’s Students in 2016, Excellent Graduate Student Leader of Liaoning University in 2016, and Outstanding Graduate of Higher Education Institutions in Heilongjiang Province in 2013.
