研究领域
1. 蛋白质仿生设计。天然蛋白质分子经过自然进化,具备的独特性能远远超越人造分子,例如水通道蛋白因其对水分子的选择透过性已在水的净化领域引起广泛关注。人工智能大数据模型在蛋白质设计领域的快速发展使得蛋白质在结构、序列和功能的空间进一步拓展,可以设计出相比天然蛋白质分子特性更加优良的改性分子。课题组主要方向为设计和制备融合蛋白质结构的仿生功能膜,并利用人工智能蛋白质分子设计技术使其超越自然界中的蛋白质结构和功能,例如设计可被太赫兹波调控的特殊功能膜,应用于生物医疗、食品加工、工业生产等领域的气体、液体的分离和纯化,以及电池隔膜等。
2. 光生物蛋白质分子调控。光对生物体存在多种多样的作用,譬如红蓝可见光对人眼机能产生影响,紫外线(波长265~228 nm的UVB波段)促进7-脱氢胆固醇生成维生素D3,以及采用近红外II区进行光热治疗等;探索不同波段的光(电磁波)对机体的作用及其分子机制具有显著的学术理论和潜在应用价值。中远红外-太赫兹波段由于其独特的物理性质(介于光学和电磁学过渡区间),一直以来相较于其他电磁波段,技术瓶颈制约着对其进行广泛的研究和应用。随着技术发展的成熟,未来的6G通讯、医学影像等领域有望大量采用太赫兹波段的电磁波,迫切需要明确这些电磁波对人体产生的生物效应。与此同时,紧密结合国民健康的发展需求,将中远红外-太赫兹波作为一种潜在的人体机能调控和疾病防治的物理手段,寻找作用靶点、阐明作用机制,也极具研究潜力和现实意义。课题组主要方向为采用计算结构生物学和湿实验验证手段,研究太赫兹波对线粒体相关蛋白质分子结构和功能的调控及生物效应。
