Dr. Jiaguosheng published a paper titled “Influence of groundwater flow on the ground heat exchanger performance and ground temperature distributions: A comprehensive review of analytical, numerical and experimental studies” about the influence of groundwater flow on the ground heat exchangers in Geothermics, which is a famous journal in the field of geology.

 

地埋管换热器性能的预测准确与否会在很大程度上影响地热能供暖系统的效率和可靠性。越来越多的文献研究表明,地下水渗流会的存在对地埋管的性能预测产生不可忽视的影响。本文针对近年来地下水渗流对地埋管换热器性能及地温场变化的影响研究进行了回顾,从解析计算、数值计算和实验研究三方面归纳了不同结构地埋管受渗流作用的影响情况。研究表明,地下水渗流会影响岩土导热系数,并有助于地温场恢复、提高换热器性能。影响幅度主要取决于含水层厚度、深度和流速三方面。该综述研究为地埋管性能的准确评估提供了支撑,为地热能供暖系统的高效运行,地热能的高效利用提供了依据。

 

The performance of the ground heat exchanger (GHE) possesses a pivotal role in the geothermal exploitation. In recent years, a growing body of literature that recognizes the importance of groundwater flow has been presented. This article reviewed the literature dealing with the impact of groundwater flow on the GHE performance and ground temperature distribution, which were classified by analytical, numerical and experimental approaches. The characteristics of the three approaches were summarized respectively. Various GHE configurations were involved in the discussion. It was found that the groundwater flow is beneficial to the ground temperature recovery and improves the GHE heat exchange rate. The effective thermal conductivities of rocks and soils, and borehole resistances, are also affected by groundwater flow. The impact extent depends mainly on the thickness, depth and flow rate of the aquifer layer. Based on the analysis of the characteristics and applicabilities of the discussed models and methods, this review is expected to provide a more comprehensive reference for promoting the utilization of geothermal energy by GHEs.
