- 摘要:
- In this work, we propose a method to create diverse programmable microparticle-patterns within a ultrasonic chamber. Multi-transducer based sound field synthesis technique, including mode matching and inverse filter, has been employed to design and built the trapping sound field corresponding to the desired microparticle-patterns. Under the effect of acoustic radiation force, microparticles dispersed in the medium are driven into the places with minimum force potential and consequently form the patterns. The theoretical model of regulating the output of each sound source according to the desired ultrasound field is proposed and followed by several examples. To experimentally validate the method, nine PZT transducers with 1.538 MHz thickness resonant frequency are used as sound source and uniformly distributed along the perimeter of a circular pedestal immersed in a glass chamber filled with deionized water.
And 10μm diameter micro-silica beads are adopted as the material to build desired patterns. After applying the theoretically predicted operating parameters to each PZT transducer, microparticles within the center region of synthesized sound field agglomerate due to the acoustic interaction force and form stable shapes which accords well with the designed patterns. The proposed method may become a promising tool for various applications in the field of biological, material, and microelectronics.
