Prof. Andrzej Katunin, an associate professor in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology, visited my group from October 30, 2025, to November 14, 2025.

During his visit, Prof. Katunin actively participated in academic discussions, research activities, and collaborative studies with my team. He worked closely with me and my students, providing guidance and supervision, particularly in the X-ray tomography characterization of fatigue damage mechanisms in short fiber reinforced composites. His involvement not only advanced our ongoing research on the thermo-mechanical coupling behavior of polymer-based composites but also led to the production of a conference paper and laid a solid foundation for a future joint journal publication. Overall, his visit was highly beneficial to our group, fostering academic exchange and strengthening the collaboration between the Silesian University of Technology and Xi’an Jiaotong University.
