Dr. Wang is a recipient of Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship (Host: Prof. Paul W. M. Blom). He obtained his PhD in June 2020 from Sun Yat-sen University under the supervision of Prof. Wan Yue. Subsequently, he conducted postdoctoral research at Sun Yat-sen University (September 2020 – August 2022, co-advisor: Prof. Yongming Chen) and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (September 2022 – February 2026, co-advisor: Prof. Sahika Inal). He joined Xi’an Jiaotong University in March 2026.
His long-term research focuses on the functionalization of high-performance organic mixed ionic–electronic conductor (OMIEC) devices. Driven by the dynamic mechanisms of charge, ion, and photon coupling in mixed ionic–electronic conductors, as well as the structure–property relationships of materials and devices, he develops novel bioinspired electronic devices and explores their emerging applications in wearable electronics and biosensing.
Dr. Wang has published 59 peer-reviewed papers, including 19 as first or corresponding author in prestigious journals such as Nature Reviews Materials, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials (2), Accounts of Chemical Research, Advanced Functional Materials (5), and Nano Energy. He serves as a regular reviewer for leading journals including Nature Electronics, Nature Sensors, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and Advanced Functional Materials, and is a Guest Editor of Advanced Electronic Materials. His publications have received more than 2,000 SCI citations, with an H-index of 35.
