论文简介    The forced convection condenser is widely used in frost-free refrigerator. The condenser, fan and compressor are usually placed in a line and inside the refrigerator bottom. Both air inlet and outlet grilles are installed on the refrigerator back panel and apart from condenser and on its same side. The deviation causes most airflow to pass through part of condenser close to back panel. Meanwhile, airflow tends to pass through free gap between condenser and its enclosure due to smaller pressure drop and has little contact with condenser, thus exchanging less heat. An outer foam ring and central foam were applied to improve airflow distribution around a spiral wire-on-tube condenser (SWTC) in this paper. The outer foam ring was located around the downstream part of SWTC to block the free gap between SWTC and its enclosure. The central foam was installed in the upstream part to obstruct the hollow center of SWTC. More airflow was directed to pass through and exchange heat with SWTC, causing decrease in condenser middle and outlet temperature by 0.76 °C and 0.72 °C, respectively. The condensing temperature decrease contributed to less refrigerant heat migration into evaporator from condenser during compressor-off period, and thus compressor-off time increased by 4.09%. Finally, refrigerator energy consumption was reduced by 2.37%.
