Paper description    Electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) is a computational imaging technology that aims at visualizing the cross-sectional permittivity distribution and providing internal information of solid/gas two-phase flow based on the principle of capacitive sensitivity. It has a number of advantages such as non-intrusive, simple structure and easy installation. For the nonlinearity and ill-posed characteristic of image reconstruction for ECT system, this paper put forward a new image reconstruction method based on Least Squares Support Vector Machine (LSSVM) combined with Bacterial Colony Chemotaxis (BCC) algorithm to fulfill the requirement of observation of flow regimes in a pneumatic conveying pulverized coal (PC) system.
