Paper description    Intraosseous transcutaneous implants transferring mechanical stress directly from skeleton to prosthesis are corresponding to biological mechanics. However, bacterial invasion and weak biosealing with skin tissue usually induce implant failure. In this paper, composite coatings consisted of β-FeOOH as out layer and Fe-TiO2 as inner layer were prepared on Ti by micro arc oxidation and hydrothermal treatment (HT) for rapidly killing bacteria under light irradiation at 635 nm and improving biosealing with skin tissue.
