论文简介    The effect of heating the silicon substrates on the morphology of nanoparticles from evaporating volatile droplets is experimentally investigated. The indistinct dual-ring pattern of nanoparticles emerging under room temperature is greatly enhanced upon heating the substrate. As the substrate temperature further increases, the dual-ring pattern disappears and instead a single ring profile is produced. The inward Marangoni flow induced by the temperature gradient along the liquid-vapor interface of the droplets is intensified upon increasing the substrate temperature. Plenty of nanoparticles are carried inwards along the droplet free surface, and the movement sharpens the inner ring. Meanwhile the greatly enhanced capillary flow expands the inner ring and even makes it merge with the exterior ring. The temperature-dependent flow paradigms and their relative weightings determine nanoparticles dynamics and the resulting pattern fashion.
