Prof. Alicia obtained her PhD from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She began her academic career at the University of Tokyo, Japan, before joining City University of Hong Kong. With over 20 years of experience in the field of membrane-based water and wastewater treatment, she has published more than 140 peer-reviewed journal articles on emerging technologies such as Membrane Distillation, Forward Osmosis, and hybrid Reverse Osmosis systems, with a focus on the removal of emerging pollutants and resource recovery.
