Bingzhang Lu, Ph.D., born in September 1992, is a Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at Xi'an Jiaotong University. He is a recipient of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Overseas) and the Xi'an Jiaotong University "Talent young scholars" Program (Category A).

His research primarily focuses on the electrochemical production and application of green hydrogen, electrocatalytic conversion of small molecules, and atomic-scale structural analysis of active sites in electrocatalysts. He has established preparation and structural analysis methods for complex electrocatalysts such as amorphous oxides. He has published over 20 research papers as first or corresponding author (including co-corresponding) in prestigious international journals including Nature Catalysis , Nature Communications , Journal of the American Chemical Society , and Angewandte Chemie International Edition . He has also been granted 2 US patents. His work has received a total of 4,066 citations, with an H-index of 26.

He serves as a committee member of the Youth Academic Committee and the Nanoscale Analysis Branch of the China Association for Instrumental Analysis. He is also a Youth Editorial Board Member of Chinese Chemical Letters  and a reviewer for renowned journals such as Nature Sustainability , Advanced Materials , Advanced Functional Materials , and Advanced Energy Materials .
