Bo Lin is engaged in the development of new catalysts and their application in the field of photo/electrocatalytic reaction engineering. In recent years, he has published nearly 30 papers in high-quality journals such as Nature (IF=69.504), Angew. Chem. (IF=16.823), Adv. Mater. (IF=32.086), Nano Energy (IF=19.069), Mater. Horiz. (IF=15.717), Appl. Catal. B: Environ. (IF= 24.319). Notably, he has published 16 papers as the first author/corresponding author, including 10 papers with IF>10 and 16 papers belonging to JCR Q1. 5 papers were selected as ESI highly cited papers, while 3 papers were selected as ESI hot papers. His papers were cited more than 1400 times, and his H-index is 17. His doctoral dissertation won the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Shaanxi Province, the "Chambroad dissertation nomination Award for chemical industry and materials" of China chemical industry society and the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Xi'an Jiaotong University. He won the honorary titles of "academic star" of Xi'an Jiaotong University, top ten outstanding doctoral student model and excellent Sichuan student, etc. He was funded over 6 projects, including the youth project of NSFC, the high-level innovative and entrepreneurial talent project of Qin Chuangyuan, the project of Sichuan Provincial Department of science and technology, and the start-up fund of "top young talents" of Xi'an Jiaotong University, etc. He was authorized one Chinese invention patent. He applied for or authorized 5 Chinese invention patents. He made 5 invitations/oral presentations at international/domestic academic conferences. He served as a young editorial board member of Petroleum Science, Carbon Neutrality, Chinese Journal of Engineering and Rare Metals.
