Background

Doctor Fei Liu was awarded the degrees of Bachelor from Xi'an University of Technology, Xi'an, China in 2002. Subsequently he joined Xi’an Typical Industries Company as a R&D engineer of high-speed sewing machine and sewing workstation. In 2005, he went to Henan University of Science and Technology to study for the master's degree of Testing Technology and Instrument Engineering. From year 2008 to 2016, he studied for the doctorate of Instrument Science and Technology at Xi'an Jiaotong University in China.

Dr. Liu is currently the Research Assistant of Research Institute of Intelligent detection and Instrument in Xi’an Jiaotong University, and is leading a research group focused on developing a test system of operation performances for the key parts of mechanical equipment. At present, as one of the main members has participated in more than 15 scientific research projects including the 863 projects, the national science and technology innovation projects, and the national natural science fund projects. As author or co-author, he has more than 30 science & technology papers that have been published on the academic journals of mechanology and automation fields, including 10 papers cited by SCI and 12 papers cited by EI. And the developed technologies have also been applied in many industrial fields.

Current Research

Current research activities have been focused on the dynamic test techniques and the system evaluation for mechanical equipment. The scopes include:

• Test and evaluation technologies of operation performances for the key parts of mechanical equipment;
• Detection, processing and feature extraction of weak signal;
• Fault diagnosis, reliability and life prediction of mechanical system;
• Quality control and dynamic geometric precision measurement technologies in the manufacturing process of mechanical product.
