Professor Wang Fei is a faculty member at the School of Mathematics & Statistics, Xi’an Jiaotong University. He earned his PhD in Mathematics from Zhejiang University in 2010 and started his academic career at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Professor Wang spent four and a half years in the United States as a visiting assistant professor and research associate at the University of Iowa and Penn State University, enriching his expertise in his field.
In 2016, he joined Xi’an Jiaotong University as an Associate Professor after receiving the “Young Talent Support Plan” award from the university in 2015. He was further recognized with the “Hundred Young Talent Program” award by Shaanxi Province in 2017. In 2022, he was elevated to Professor under the "Young Talent Support Plan" at Xi’an Jiaotong University.
Professor Wang specializes in numerical analysis and scientific computing, focusing on finite element methods, variational inequalities, and neural network-based methods for solving partial differential equations. He has led four projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and has authored over 50 publications in esteemed journals such as SIAM J. Numer. Anal., IMA J. Numer. Anal., and Comput. Methods Appl. Mech. Engrg. Since 2024, he has served as an Associate Editor for the journal "Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation".
