Jirong Guo, Phd. Professor of English, has won a number of prizes including: the third prize of “Outstanding Achievement in Philosophy and Social Science in Shaanxi Province” in 2015, the second prize of “Shaanxi Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences Research Award for Excellence” in 2013, the second prize of “The twelfth teaching Achievement at Xian Jiao Tong University” in 2011, the first prize of “English Teaching and Research for Graduates in Shaanxi Province” in 2007 and the first prize of “Excellent Teaching for Kaiyuan Elementary Course” in Xi’an JiaoTong University, and he was awarded for “Wang Kuancheng Prize on Education” and the“Excellent Teacher in Graduate English Teaching” from 1998 to 1999 in Xi’an JiaoTong University.
Research field: intercultural communication, sociolinguistics, public opinion analysis and language philosophy
