Project: Nanostructured Low Platinum Catalysts for Lean NOx Abatement

Advisor: Prof. Bo-Qing XU

l Design and synthesis of low platinum and/or platinum-free catalyst for lean NOx abatement.

l Study the key factors to the platinum loading in the Pt-BaO NSR catalysts. Addition of transitional metal oxide to lower the precious metal and pervoskite as a substitural material for Lean NOx abatement.

l  Characterizations by N2 physisorption, TG/DTA, Raman, XRD, TPR/TPD, XPS, XAFS, FTIR, MS, GC, TEM, SEM, ICP-AES.

l  Design and Synthesis of Controllable Pore Size Distribution of Al2O3 Nanoparticles.

l  Investigation of NOx storage and reduction performance of Pt-BaO/Al2O3 catalysts.
