Luo Xiao, Ph.D, professor, doctoral supervisor of Department of physiology and pathophysiology, School of basic medicine, Xi'an Jiaotong University. Her research is mainly focused on gestational diabetes mellitus and type 2 diabetes, the effect of perinatal nutritional environment on offspring’s metabolism. She got her doctor's degree at Northwest A&F University in 2011. From 2009 to 2011, she studied abroad at Mater Medical Research Institute, University of Queensland, Australia. She presides 2 projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, 2 projects of China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and 2 projects of Natural Science Foundation of Shaanxi Province. She has published more than 30 papers in journals such as Diabetes and Endocrinology. She won the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of Shaanxi Province in 2015.
