This method was first introduced by Aman to prepare MgO in 1956 . Thereafter Chamberlin et al. successfully deposited CdS films for solar cell application in 1966. Since then, spray pyrolysis deposition have been gained a great deal of attention because of the simplicity of apparatus and good productivity. Commonly, in spray pyrolysis a precursor solution or colloidal suspension is atomised, then the atomised precursor droplets are transported into a heated reactor chamber or onto a heated substrate, where in the simplest case the solvent evaporates and the precursor undergoes subsequent reaction to form product powders or films.
