Basic Information

Xiu-Ling Deng, female, professor and doctoral supervisor, Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology, Health Science Center, Xi'an Jiaotong University. 

I received my bachelor degree in clinical medicine and master degree in medicine from Xi'an Medical University in 1983 and 1991, respectively.  I got my doctor's degree in science from China Pharmaceutical University in 2000, and received postdoctoral training at the University of Hong Kong from March 2004 to June 2006.    

I have been teaching pathophysiology for medical students and cardiovascular pathophysiology for postgraduate students, and have participated in editing 15 textbooks.

Scientific Research

 My research focuses on the role of calcium-activated potassium channels in cardiovascular diseases.  I have presided over 6 projects from National Natural Science Foundation, 1 Special Scientific Research Fund for Doctoral Programs in Colleges and Universities, 1 Natural Science Foundation of Shaanxi Province and 10 Founds from pharmaceutical company or university.  I have published 130 papers, including 50 papers in SCI, and got 1 patent.
