      Dr. Jing Fang is currently an Associate Professor at School of Foreign Studies, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. She obtained her Ph.D. in Linguistic and Cultural Systemics at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China in 2020. She received her Bachelor's degree in Business English at University of International Business and Economics, Beijing, China in 2013. She also got her Master’s Degree of Translation Theory and Practice at University College London, United Kingdom in 2014. She has held the position of assistant professor since 2020 and the position of associate professor since 2024 at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China.  In this role, she supervises graduate students specializing in research fields of translation, metaphor, semantic network and intercultural communication. Her current research focus is on the areas of destination image, translation, and intercultural communication, specifically drawing on interdisciplinary research methods to look at cultural references or metaphors in bilingual texts including tourism discourse. She has been awarded the Outstanding Graduate Student at Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2017, the China’s National Scholarship for Doctoral Student in 2018, the Outstanding Paper Award at the 1^st Forum for Young Scholars in Foreign Language and Literature held at Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2018, and the Outstanding Paper Award at the 15^th China’s Intercultural Communication Research Annual Conference held in Shanghai in 2019.
