Professor Xu Jiang

Dr. Xu Jiang is currently a professor of strategy and innovation in the School of Management at the Xi’an Jiaotong University. He got his PhD on Business Administration from Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2008. He obtained a Sandwich scholarship from German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and studied at the Technology University of Darmstadt Germany from 2004-2006 during his doctoral period. He was visiting scholar at the Stockholm School of Economics Sweden in 2010, University of Michigan in 2014-2015, Western Illinois University in 2014, Rutgers in 2015-2016, and City University of Hong Kong in 2017. He is the head of four research projects granted by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His research interests include strategic alliances, knowledge and resource management, innovation and entrepreneurship, and green development in emerging economies. He has published more than 80 articles in domestic and international journals including Research Policy, Journal of World Business, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Journal of International Management, Journal of International Marketing, Long Range Planning, Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, among others.
Professor Xu Jiang is currently the Academic Leader of the Business Administration Discipline at the Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Director of Strategic Innovation and Science & Technology Management Institute at the Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Executive Deputy Director at the Key Research Base of Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Xi 'an Jiaotong University, Director of Shaanxi (University) Philosophy and Social Science Key Research Base, Secretary General of Shaanxi Soft Science Research Association, member of Shaanxi Province SME Expert Advisory Group, member of Technical Management Committee of China Society of Technology and Economics, member of Shaanxi Operational Research Association, member of the American Academy of Management (AOM) and member of International Society of Chinese Management Studies (IACMR).
