Dr. Jingqi Zhang is a professor in School of Materials Science and Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University, P.R. China. He graduated from Northeastern University (P.R. China) with BS and MS degrees in materials science and received his PhD in additive manufacturing of titanium alloys from The University of Queensland, Australia. His research interests rotate around additive manufacturing of metallic materials such as titanium alloys, aluminum alloys, copper alloys and refractory alloys. Over the past 5 years, Jingqi has published his work as the first author in reputable journals such as Science, Nature Communications, Scripta Materialia and Additive Manufacturing. His research has been also recognized by multiple awards including 2021 Acta Student Award.

Research interests:

  1. Additive Manufacturing of Metals and Alloys
  2. Grain Refinement in Solidification
  3. Solid-state Phase Transformations
