Educational Experience

Tianyu Dong (董天宇)

Tianyu Dong is an Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University. He is affiliated with the Reseach Center for Advanced Electromagnetism (ReCAEM), an interdisciplinary center for research and education with an emphasis on electromagnetics, circuits, power electronics, nonlinear phenomenons and renewable energies. He is also affiliated with the State Key Laboratory of Electrical Insulation and Power Equipment (SKLEI), and the State Key Laboratory for Strength and Vibration of Mechanical Structures (MSSV) as a postdoctor researcher.

Prior to joining XJTU as a tenure-tracked faculty at the beginning of the year of 2015, he received the BS and PhD degrees from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, respectively in 2008 and 2014. During the PhD, he spent two years from 2011 to 2013 in the Electromagnetic Communication (EMC) Lab of  Electrical Engineering Department at The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) in the United States, where he was hosted by Prof. Dr. Raj Mittra. Dr. Dong is promoted to Associate Professor in December 2017.

Dr. Dong is a member of IEEE and OSA. He also serves as a reviewer of Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, Journal of Optics, e-FERMAT, etc.
