Basic Information

     Prof. Yulong Zhao was born in March, 1968. And now, he is a professor in Xi’an Jiaotong University. His current research interests include MEMS fabrication processing, silicon pressure sensors, force sensors, and quartz resonant sensors. He has published about 200 papers, and over 70 papers of them are indexed by SCI. He got about 70 authorized Chinese patents.Those papers and patents are mainly about MEMS sensors and biosensors on piezoresistive or resonance theory. These papers also also includes PCR technology and femtosecond micro machining.

     Prof. Zhao is a Doctoral Advisor & the Vice Director of State Key Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems Engineering.  Because of his achievement in MEMS sensors work, he was respectively awarded The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. The other rewards that Prof. Zhao received include:  National Talents Project, National High-level Personnel of Special Support Program (Scientific and Technological Innovation Leader), Tengfei Scholars Program of Xi’an Jiaotong University, Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University.

 

Research Group

     The Ministry of Education Innovation Team on Micro-nano Sensing and Testing Technology is led by Prof. Zhao Yulong. The innovation team’s research work is mainly focused on micro-nano manufacturing, sensor technology and precision testing technology. There are more than 10 high-level talents in the team, including 1 academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 “National Distinguished Young Scholar” , 1 professor of “Thousand Youth Talents Plan”, 5 “New Century Excellent Talents” faculties. So far, the team has undertaken more than 30 major projects, such as “863 Program”, “973 Program”, “National Natural Science Foundation of China” and “National Key Scientific Instrument and Equipment Development Project”. The team’s research results are fruitful: 3 projects awarded State Technological Invention Award second prize; 4 awarded Provincial or Ministerial Award for Science and Technology first prize.The team achieved more than 150 authroized patents, and have publised 150 research papers indexed in SCI and 120 in EI.
