Yelong Wu, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Doctoral Advisor at the School of Physics, Xi’an Jiaotong University.
His research systematically investigates the structure–property relationships of semiconductor materials. Addressing the fundamental scientific question of the underlying physical mechanisms that govern performance improvement, Dr. Wu employs high-resolution characterization techniques to extract and construct refined microstructural models from the atomic scale. Through theoretical calculations, he elucidates how specific structures dictate material properties, thereby providing insights and solutions for optimizing device performance.
Dr. Wu has served as Principal Investigator for two General Projects and one Young Scientists Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), as well as a project under the Natural Science Basic Research Program of Shaanxi Province. He has published extensively in leading international journals, including Physical Review Letters, Physical Review B, Applied Physics Letters, and Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters. He holds one Chinese national invention patent and has received the First Prize of the Shaanxi Provincial Higher Education Science and Technology Award, along with two First Prizes for Outstanding Academic Papers in Natural Science of Xi’an.
