Dr. Peng Wang is an Associate Professor of International Law and Tang Scholar at Xi’an Jiaotong University School of Law, P. R. China. Dr. Wang’s current research interests cover international investment law, international law and international relations, China’s space law and policy, theories of international law, and China’s energy law and policy.

Dr. Wang has published articles in leading academic journals, including the ICSID Review, the World Journal of Energy Law & Business, Ocean Development & International Law, Journal of World Investment & Trade, Asian Journal of International Law, Polish Yearbook of International Law, and Chinese Journal of Comparative Law. Dr. Wang has authored two monographs in Chinese and co-authored the Report on Compatibility of Chinese Laws and Regulations with the Provisions of the Energy Charter Treaty (Energy Charter Secretariat, 2015, 214 pages). Dr. Wang has also authored chapters in edited books, such as Handbook on Immunities and International Law (Cambridge University Press, 2019), China and International Dispute Resolution in the Context of the “Belt and Road Initiative” (Cambridge University Press, 2021), Encyclopedia of Public International Law in Asia (Brill, 2022), Sovereign Immunity under Pressure: Norms, Values and Interests (Springer, 2022), and Derecho Internacional de las Inversiones (Externado Publishing House, 2021).

Dr. Peng Wang got his PhD Degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University, and was once a Silk Road Visiting Scholar at Cambridge University Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, UK and an intern at Energy Charter Secretariat, Brussels Belgium.
