魏恒嘉，西安交通大学数学与统计学院教授、博导。2014年获得浙江大学应用数学博士学位，博士导师为葛根年教授。

2014年至2022年，先后在首都师范大学、新加坡南洋理工大学和以色列本-古里安大学从事博士后研究工作，合作导师包括 Yeow Meng Chee、Han Mao Kiah、San Ling 和 Moshe Schwartz。2022年至2025年，在鹏城实验室任副研究员。

曾获国际组合数学及其应用协会颁发的2017年度 Kirkman 奖。Erdős 数为 2（经由Charles Colbourn ）。自2026年7月起，担任 IEEE Transactions on Information Theory 编委（Associate Editor）。

研究方向为组合数学和编码理论，涉及DNA存储、存内计算、网络编码、网络信息论等前沿领域。

I am currently a Professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at Xi’an Jiaotong University. I received my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Zhejiang University in 2014 under the supervision of Professor Gennian Ge.

From 2014 to 2022, I held postdoctoral and research positions at Capital Normal University, Nanyang Technological University, and Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where I worked with Professors Yeow Meng Chee, Han Mao Kiah, San Ling, and Moshe Schwartz. From 2022 to 2025, I was an Associate Researcher at Peng Cheng Laboratory.

I was awarded the 2017 Kirkman Medal by the Institute of Combinatorics and its Applications (ICA). My Erdős number is 2, through coauthored papers by Paul Erdős and Charles Colbourn, and by Charles Colbourn and myself. Since July 2026, I have served as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Information Theory. 

My research interests include combinatorics and coding theory, with a focus on emerging areas such as DNA storage, in-memory computing, network coding, and network information theory.
