      In the past few years, over 50 scientific papers have been published in highly reputable international journals such as Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews, Applied Energy, Energy Policy in which he is either lead or co-author. The publications have been cited by the journals such as Nature, Nature Communication for over 1000 times (Google Scholar).

     His academic contributions in the field of circular economy and industrial ecology have been recognized by international colleagues. For instance, in 2018, he was ranked at the fourth influential author worldwide in the research field of circular economy by the Spain scholar (Worldwide Research on Circular Economy and Environment: A Bibliometric Analysis. International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. 2018. 15(2699): 1-14). In 2020, his academic contributions in the field of industrial symbiosis was recognized by the scholars from Italy ((What, Where, and How Measuring Industrial Symbiosis: A Reasoned Taxonomy of Relevant Indicators. Resources, Conservation & Recycling 2020. 157: 104799)

      His published papers have been reported by a number of mass media. For instance, the paper entitledHow does circular economy respond to greenhouse gas emissions reduction: An analysis of Chinese plastic recycling industries in the journal of Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews (2018, 91: 1162-1169) was reported by Yale University on the website ( and covered by National Scientific Advancement Web in China (
