Applicants who are interested in sensors are welcome to join us to collaborate on development of high-performance micromachined ultrasonic transducers (MUTs) for non-invasively vital physiological signal detection and ultrasonic therapy, resonant gas sensor for breathing testing, electronic skin (E-skin) and wearable biosensors. These researches aim to bridge mechanical engineering and bioengineering, enabling applications of sensors in healthcare, medical diagnostics and robots. It is a multidisciplinary work, for which applicants from different background such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science and biology, are needed.
Graduate Students
Master and Doctor student positions (4+2) are open!
Research topics:
1. Design and fabrication of high-performance capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers (CMUTs)
2. CMUT-based resonant gas sensors for breathing detection
3. Skin-like electronics for healthcare monitoring and robots
4. Intelligent perception and human-computer interaction
5. Wearable biosensors
Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students from different backgrounds are encouraged to join research if having enough time! Your effort will be rewarded by proper payment along with authorship if the research is published.
Interested applicants can email Dr. Zhikang Li by zhikangli@xjtu.edu.cn with a clear statement of your basic information, purpose, research interests and education background.
