Highlight: 本研究主要提出了单分子磁致伸缩体的概念。由于分子不具备磁长程有序导致的磁畴运动,且{Fe8Gd8}分子结晶于立方空间群、Fe(III)和Gd(III)具有半充满的磁性轨道,因此磁各向异性对该晶体的磁致伸缩效应贡献十分有限。因此,{Fe8Gd8}晶体低温下的大磁致伸缩效应只能由分子内由于铁磁耦合产生的大自旋磁矩被磁场驱动所致,可称之为单分子磁致伸缩体。
