PROFILE:
Hongrui Cao, male, born in 1982. After receiving PhD degree, Dr. Cao pursued his academic career in School of Mechanical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University. He was qualified as a doctoral supervisor and was selected as The New Star on Science and Technology in Shaanxi Province in 2014. His research interests include dynamics of spindle bearing systems, chatter stability of machine tools, cutting process monitoring, and fault diagnosis of rotating machinery. He has undertaken 1 project funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, 3 provincial and ministerial projects, and 1 international cooperation project. Dr. Cao has published about 30 peer-reviewed journal papers and most of them were published in the respected journals. According to ISI Web of Science, his publications were cited more than 100 times. He has obtained 2 China patents and 1 software copyrights. Dr. Cao has also been actively involved in teaching and academic services. He is teaching courses for both undergraduates and graduates, supervising 7 master students independently and co-supervising 3 PhD students with other professors. He is an active reviewer of more than 5 professional journals and is a member of several academic associations.
