Research Team

yes Long's team is dedicated to the research of mitochondrial nutrients and drugs, creating mitochondrial nutrients and drugs for mitochondrial-related chronic diseases (Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, etc.) and mitochondrial metabolism remodeling in extreme environments, and developing targeted regulatory strategies for preventing and treating mitochondrial-related diseases.

 

yes The team has 7 professors, associate professors and assistant professors, and more than 20 master's and doctoral students, with a complete talent echelon, outstanding teaching and research capabilities, and active teamwork.

 

yes The team maintains extensive cooperation with Harvard University, Oxford University, Kyushu University and other internationally renowned research teams, and invites researchers from China Astronaut Center, Academy of Military Science, Shaanxi Pharmaceutical Group, Honghui Hospital and other important cooperative units to serve as collaborative mentors.

 

yes In recent years, the team has presided over over more than 10 provincial and ministerial projects such as the National Basic Research Program of China and the Natural Science Foundation of China, and has published more than 10 research papers in the J Neurosci, Cell research, Antioxidant redox research and the National Academy of Sciences of China. He has published more than 140 papers in J Neurosci, Cell research, Antioxidant redox signaling and other international and domestic journals.

Research Area

Mechanisms of aging and related diseases and their early intervention strategies

The research team focuses on scientific issues in the metabolism and degeneration mechanisms of mitochondria, the core organelles of cellular energy metabolism, and explores the mitochondrial mechanisms of aging, Alzheimer's disease, and type 2 diabetes mellitus, including the following research directions:
1. Molecular mechanisms of mitochondrial degeneration in neurodegenerative diseases.
2. mitochondrial metabolic regulation and repair in special environments such as aerospace and other mitochondrial nutrient and drug research
3. Mitochondrial nutrient and drug research
