Brief Biography

Fei Wang, earned his doctoral degree in Mathematics at Zhejiang University in   2010. Then he joined the faculty at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. From Jan 2012 to May 2013, Dr. Wang was a Visiting Assistant Professor at University of Iowa, and worked as Research Associate at Penn State University from May 2013 to June 2016. Wang was awarded "Young Talent Support Plan" by Xi’an Jiaotong University in Sep 2015, and "Hundred Young Talent Program" by Shaanxi Province in May 2017. He has been working as distinguished research fellow at Xi’an Jiaotong University since July 2016. Fei’s research interests are about numerical analysis and scientific computing in general. Topics include finite element methods and its applications, numerical methods for variational inequalities, a posteriori error analysis and adaptive algorithm, virtual element methods, and deep learning for solving partial differential equations.
