WANG Fei is a Professor at the School of Mathematics & Statistics at Xi’an Jiaotong University. He earned his PhD in Mathematics from Zhejiang University in 2010 and started his academic career at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He then gained valuable experience as a visiting scholar and research associate at the University of Iowa and Penn State University in the United States for four years. He joined Xi’an Jiaotong University as an associate professor in 2016, after receiving the “Young Talent Support Plan (Category B)” award from the university in 2015. He also received the “Hundred Young Talent Program” award from Shaanxi Province in 2017. In 2022, he was promoted to the “Young Talent Support Plan (Category A)” by Xi’an Jiaotong University. Professor Wang’s research interests span numerical analysis and scientific computing, with an emphasis on finite element methods, variational inequalities, and neural network-based methods for solving partial differential equations. He has led three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and published more than 40 papers in renowned journals such as SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, IMA Journal of Numerical Analysis, Numerische Mathematik, and Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering.
