Brief Biography

Professor Fei Wang earned his doctoral degree in Mathematics at Zhejiang University in 2010. Then he joined the faculty at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. From Jan 2012 to May 2013, Dr. Wang was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa and worked as Research Associate at Penn State University from May 2013 to June 2016. Wang was awarded the "Young Talent Support Plan (Category B)" by Xi’an Jiaotong University in Sep 2015, and the "Hundred Young Talent Program" by Shaanxi Province in May 2017. He worked as Associate Professor at Xi’an Jiaotong University from July 2016 to September 2022. September 2022, Fei was awarded the "Young Talent Support Plan (Category A)" by Xi’an Jiaotong University. Fei’s research interests are numerical analysis and scientific computing in general. Topics include finite element methods and their applications, numerical methods for variational inequalities, and neural network-based methods for solving partial differential equations.
