Recently, one research proposal titled as “Durable superhydrophobic coating based on dynamic urethane bonds: wear failure and self-repairing mechanism” was funded by the Youth Project of Natural Science Basic Research Plan in Shaanxi Province. In view of the poor mechanical durability of superhydrophobic surfaces, this project aims to construct a composite superhydrophobic coating based on dynamic urethane bond cross-linked resins. By carrying out a systematic investigation on the wear behavior of the composite coating as well as developing its self-repairing ability, the superhydrophobic property was supposed to be well maintained through reconstruction of the cross-linking networks. The progress of this project will promisingly develop robust superhydrophobic surfaces with important application potentials.

课题组一项目获陕西省自然科学基础研究计划青年项目资助

日前，课题组项目“基于动态氨酯键的耐久型超疏水涂层及其磨损失效和自修复机制”获陕西省自然科学基础研究计划青年项目资助。该项目针对超疏水表面机械耐久性差的问题，拟通过设计动态键交联的树脂基复合超疏水涂层，详细考察复合涂层的磨损失效过程，利用动态交联网络的重构性实现涂层表面超疏水性质的长久保持，以获得具有显著应用价值的超疏水表面。
