Dr. Zhikang Li currently serves as an associate professor in School of Mechanical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University. He received the B.S. degree in Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation from Xidian University in July 2010，and the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering  from Xi’an Jiaotong University under supervision of Prof. Zhuangde Jiang in March 2017. From May 2017, he joined the School of Mechanical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, as a faculty. 

He has over 3 years of research experience in University of California. During 10/2014~10/2015, he joined the group of Prof. Liwei Lin at UC Berkeley as a jointly cultivated Ph.D. student. From November 2018, he joined the group of Prof. Ali Khademhosseini as an exchanging postdoctoral researcher for another 2 years in Department of Bioengineering at UCLA under the support of the International Postdoctoral Exchange Fellowship Program awarded by China Postdoctoral Council. 

His research interests include N/MEMS; micromachined ultrasonic transducers (MUTs) including capacitive (CMUTs) and piezoelectric (PMUTs), skin-like electronics and wearable biosensors for healthcare and medical diagnostics. He has published 2 book chapters, more than 25 journal papers and filed 47 patents, 29 of which have been licensed. He is currently hosting 9 grants encouraging the research in MUTs, resonant gas sensors for breathing detection，electronic skin (E-skin) and wearable biosensors.
